The Puppet Show
Puppets give me wigs. Pretty much the same as they wig Buffy. And Sid is squicky. No one needs to see a horny ventriloquist puppet.
Cordy’s song selection is of course perfect. I love the callback to it in AtS S4.
Cordelia: It could have been me!
Xander: We can dream.
fuck off and die Xander.
Interesting that Cordy has a moment of stage fright about singing.
That’s pretty much it.
Nightmares
I’m curious what Cordy stans think about her nightmare being mistaken for chess club member and horrible hair and clothes. I don’t know what to think about it.
Also, another moment of Willow the asshole, she’s looking at Cordelia gloatingly when she’s being dragged to the chess club. As silly as that might seem as a nightmare, it’s Cordy’s nightmares and Willow taking pleasure from Cordy’s pain is gross.
Out of Mind Out of Sight /or other way around? I have no clue
I really love the fleshing out of Cordelia in this episode, it’s well earned. Before this she was funny bitch and now it’s nice to see that she is a funny bitch with dimensions.
I love her coronation speech. She has such a great self esteem, I envy that.
know this is a Cordy-scentric episode but I kinda wanna talk about the 2 Angel scenes. Mostly because that’s who I am and second I’m not sure I have much new to say about OoMOoS that Cordy stans haven’t said better than me. I really enjoy that they started developing her more. That’s pretty much it.
Angel: First Angel and Giles scene. It seems that it’s really hard to find any btvs!Angel/x stuff from tumblr that isn’t Bangel or baby Cangel. I’d love to reblog some Angel-Xander or Angel-Giles interaction but apparently none of the Xangel or Gangel shippers are active on tumblr (you get the worst ship names with Angel, which is a shame).
Angel: I’m not here to eat. (oh, you)
Angel: Oh, I don’t know. Looking in the mirror everyday and seeing nothing there. It’s an overrated pleasure.
(ugh feelings) I’m with Angel on this. Why would someone want to be invisible? I can’t think of a single legit use for invisibility. Except if you’re bullying or otherwise harassed, then wanting to be invisible makes sense. But other than that, it’s mostly good for crime or being a peeping tom/jane (I don’t know if that’s the female version, it just came to me).
Angel saves the lives of Willow, Giles and Xander and no one cares. Giles wants to keep it a secret for reasons I’m not sure of, is it because Bangel is in a ‘can’t happen’ mode according to Angel? I don’t know. Oh, and Xander is back to being an asshole to Angel the next week. Fuck off and die Xander. It’s odd that Willow never mentioned that to Buffy, since Willow is pretty much a Bangel ‘shipper.
Prophecy Girl:
That ‘I’m 16 years old. I don’t want to die’ is a really great scene. It actually gave me some feelings for Buffy that I haven’t had before.
Cordy to the rescue!!!!!!!! YAY!
I love imagining what Angel’s thinking when Xander comes a-knocking. “Someone is knocking on my door? I never get visitors who knock.” lol
Xander: At the end of the day, I pretty much think you’re a vampire.
Me: Fuck off and die you ungrateful asshole! He just saved you fucking life a week ago! He’s done nothing evil while he’s been in Sunnydale. You do not get to act like your hatred of him as much of anything to do with him being a vampire. You hate him because Buffy wants to bang him and not you, you gross Nice GuyTM asshole. Urgh, I hate him and that scene so much.
DB: He’s fine. Not terrible for what he’s given.
Sneak attack baby!Cangel: In the last scene in the library, Angel and Cordelia are walking side by side and then they stay standing close together for the last info dump before they all leave for the party J :D

Other than the stupid "popular girl is afraid of being a nerd" har-har-har sight gag of a beautiful girl like CC looking horrendous? I think within Cordy's mind, she's afraid of being as invisible as she found girls (and boys) like Willow. Fading into the corners of the rooms, looking down at their shoes, socially awkward masses. Not very deep or complicated or profound but she's, like, sixteen years old and while her fate is to die young, she doesn't know that so she has normal worries. :)
Also, another moment of Willow the asshole, she’s looking at Cordelia gloatingly when she’s being dragged to the chess club. As silly as that might seem as a nightmare, it’s Cordy’s nightmares and Willow taking pleasure from Cordy’s pain is gross.
But don't you know it's okay, because she's Willow and everything Willow does that's wrong is seen as cute and she gets a pass because omg, Cordelia's SUCH a bully and a bitch?
Sense the sarcasm? :)

I feel like an ass for saying this because it's always cited as being SUCH a profound thing but Buffy's saying this has never moved me, not like it has others. I think it's because it's one of those instances where I can feel The Hand Of Joss - like, oh, "this is where you're supposed to love this character" kind of a deal. *shrugs* Cordelia wanted to get rid of her visions during S1 of AtS even if it meant foisting them off onto other people and all I saw were comments about how selfish she was - selfish for not wanting the blinding pain and loss of muscle control. I'm so bitter sometimes, it amazes me still.
Cordy to the rescue!!!!!!!!
This is one of the many reasons I love this character. At this point, she's shallow as fuck but omg, she's a team player. Team Human!

See how C/A just sneaks in there? The B/A stuff is all serious and purposeful and Positioned in every scene they're in, but little things like this...he's drawn to her, she's drawn to him, no matter what else is happening, they gravitate towards each other. *swoons*
